Toolkit on Digital Transformation for People-Oriented Cities and Communities

A comprehensive guide designed to help cities and communities leverage digital technologies for sustainable development. The toolkit, developed with 13 UN entities, provides practical strategies and tools through 12 modules covering topics from governance to smart manufacturing.

This project has developed guidance based on its Recommendation L, which proposes a policy framework document to encourage harmonization of technical regulations through a voluntary mechanism called a common regulatory arrangement (CRA). The project has delivered a White Paper with base principles and the final CRA and Declaration.

Unleashing the power of innovation for climate action: AI for net zero and climate resilient infrastructure.
Europe and the Commonwealth of Independent States

This policy dialogue explored the benefits and opportunities of AI in climate change mitigation, the energy transition to net-zero, and climate change adaptation. A policy paper was developed with contributions from experts in governments, the private sector and other international organizations, proposing policy recommendations on AI governance to make AI environmentally sustainable and equitable.

United for Smart Sustainable Cities (U4SSC)

A global platform for smart cities stakeholders, advocating for public policies to encourage the use of ICT to facilitate the transition to smart sustainable cities. The initiative aims to generate guidelines, policies and frameworks for the integration of ICTs into urban operations, and deliver policy guidelines and training materials.
