In 2024, UN Women launched ResultMate—a cutting-edge AI copilot chatbot designed to support and enhance how UN Women country and regional offices tell their results stories. Trained on UN Women’s Results-Based Management (RBM) principles, policies, procedures, and guidelines, ResultMate helps craft stronger, clearer reports by offering real-time guidance on structure, language, and relevant requirements, while annual reports are being drafted. Integrated within Microsoft Teams, ResultMate supports capacity building across the organization to deliver sharper, more compelling and result-focused insights for both internal use and external audiences. While still in pilot phase, the tool is already transforming how results are captured and communicated.

The Equality Lab exemplifies how AI, when guided by inclusive values and innovative thinking, can be a catalyst for lasting social impact.
Activity Type AI Tools/SolutionsTechnical AssistanceTrainings/workshopsNetworks/Mentorship/ExchangeLed by UN Women under the UNSPN Working Group, the AI/Data Sessions provide a collaborative platform to showcase how AI is actively transforming work across the UN system in alignment with the UN 2.0 vision. These sessions bridge theory and practice by featuring real-world case studies, templates, and actionable insights that demonstrate AI’s practical applications. Covering essential topics—such as problem and solution formulation, evaluation methods, ethical considerations, and human-centered design principles—the sessions equip participants with the knowledge and tools needed to navigate the evolving AI landscape. In addition to technical skills, the sessions connect participants to valuable resources, fostering deeper understanding and more effective implementation of AI technologies. By promoting cross-UN collaboration and innovation, these sessions are critical for enhancing decision-making, problem-solving, and advancing gender equality initiatives across the organization.
Activity Type Networks/Mentorship/ExchangeTrainings/workshopsUnder the global UN Women – Nokia partnership that focuses on closing the gendered digital divide to strengthen WEE and EVAW, UN Women is working with a Finnish start-up Neuvo Inc to develop a technological solution that can maintain diverse types of functionalities (eg. Educational module, Online Chat, Service search). For the initial pilot version, the partners built and implemented an educational module addressing financial literacy for women. This pilot was tested by 26 women during a training on digital literacy skills led by Nokia and UN Women in October 2024. In the next stage (Q2 2025), the partners will include online chat functionality to respond to specific questions by users and serve as a more intuitive way of searching for information without the use of generative AI or the risk of leaking sensitive data.
